Orygen Specialist Program - Social Work Graduate Program

  • Full Time, Graduate Program in Clinical Mental Health
  • Multiple positions available
  • New Graduates and those with less than two years’ experience can apply
  • Commencing in January 2025

 

About the Graduate Program

Successful applicants will be offered a two-year contract – spending 12 months in one team, then rotating to another team for the second 12 months. The program aims to offer early career clinicians experience and training in specialised areas of youth mental health.

  • Be part of the transformation of Victoria’s Public Mental Health System in implementing the Royal Commission Recommendations.
  • Work within a diverse, friendly, and welcoming multi-disciplinary team.
  • Be supported by an enthusiastic team of clinical educators.

 

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in developing a career in the youth mental health sector.
  • Partner with service users in their recovery journey.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning.
  • Demonstrate well-developed interpersonal skills, as well as clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work as a team member.

 

About you

  • You are a recent Social Work Graduate or early career SW with less than two years’ experience post qualification.
  • You have an approved Degree from a recognised school of Social Work or other qualifications approved for eligibility for Australian Association of Social Work. Applications will be accepted from final year students who expect to complete the qualification prior to the position commencing in January 2025.
  • An interest in working with youth experiencing complex mental health difficulties, and their families.
  • A full driver’s licence
