Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) is a new, dedicated public youth mental health service and is the first of its kind in Australia. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team.

12-Month Fixed Term | Full-time 1.0 EFT | Parkville

Provide a central point of coordination, advice and escalation for all payroll related matters across a youth mental health service.

Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) is Victoria’s newest public mental health service dedicated to the care of young people aged 12 to 25 experiencing complex mental health challenges.

About the Role:

The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for providing a central point of coordination, advice and escalation for all payroll-related matters across the service.

Sitting within the Finance team, the role acts as a critical conduit between Finance, People, Culture and Communications (PCC), and the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) Payroll Shared Services to ensure accurate, timely and compliant payroll outcomes.

The position plays a key role in resolving payroll queries in a timely manner, supporting staff with pay anomalies, interpreting Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) provisions, and ensuring best practice use of rostering and timekeeping systems (e.g. RosterOn).

  • Onboarding & Process Building
  • Finance – PCC Integration

About You:

✔️ Formal Qualification in Finance, Bookkeeping or Business Administration Preferred.

✔️ Demonstrated experience in payroll, workforce administration, or finance in a complex environment.

 

✔️ Strong understanding of Enterprise Bargaining Agreements and payroll interpretation.

 

✔️ Experience with rostering/timekeeping systems (e.g. RosterOn)).

✔️ Excellent organisational and time management skills, with accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to deliver result under tight time frames

✔️ Prior experience working in Public Health or Public Sector highly desirable
