Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) is Victoria’s newest public mental health service dedicated to the care of young people aged 12 to 25 experiencing complex mental health challenges.

About the Role:

The ICT Service Delivery Manager will be responsible for establishing, managing, and continuously improving the local ICT environment to support the effective delivery of youth mental health services in the north and western metropolitan areas of Melbourne. This role will be a standalone role within PYMHWS and will be required to collaborate closely with Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) daily for ICT delivery on behalf of the service.

This hands-on role will lead ICT operations, acting as the key liaison with RMH Digital Innovation and Orygen ICT teams to ensure alignment of systems, escalations, and innovations across all service locations. During the early stages post-go-live, the role will focus on system fine-tuning, ad-hoc configuration, and embedding effective ICT processes and supports. Over time, the focus will shift to strategic projects including digital transformation, infrastructure planning, and future service delivery innovations.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Manage ICT operations across PYMHWS by maintaining critical systems and infrastructure, ensuring service continuity and effective clinical care delivery.
  • Coordinate resolution of ICT service issues by acting as the primary escalation point and collaborating closely with RMH Digital Innovation and vendors.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders including RMH, Orygen ICT, and external providers to ensure alignment, clear communication, and effective service delivery.
  • Support post-go-live configuration and continuous improvement of clinical and operational systems, ensuring alignment with youth mental health workflows and compliance standards.
  • Ensure ICT compliance by overseeing access controls, security protocols, and adherence to data privacy and governance regulations.
  • Contribute to strategic planning by helping develop the PYMHWS digital roadmap and driving innovation through system upgrades and digital capability assessments.

About You:

The ideal candidate is an experienced and adaptable ICT professional with a strong background in health service delivery, capable of operating independently while engaging effectively with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure secure, responsive, and high-quality ICT services.

Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Proven experience delivering ICT services in health or mental health settings.

Strong knowledge of clinical systems used in Victorian public health, including EMR, RiskMan, and RosterOn.

Ability to manage competing priorities in a sole-operator or small-team environment.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all organisational levels.

Vendor and contract management experience, with a focus on service quality.

Understanding of cybersecurity and health data privacy legislation and compliance.

Desirable certifications such as ITIL and cybersecurity/privacy qualifications.
