Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) is Victoria’s newest public mental health service dedicated to the care of young people aged 12 to 25 experiencing complex mental health challenges.

About the Role:

Operating within the Finance Team, the Finance Business Partner is a key contributor delivering high quality accounting and financial advice across the organisation. This is a newly created position directly reporting to the Business Partnering Manager.

The Finance Business Partner requires specialist knowledge in the areas of accounting, finance and operations, proactively operating with a continuous improvement focus within the role.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Assist in the completion of Month End close process, including completion of month-end Journals to ensure an accurate General Ledger and Cost Centre reporting.
  • Conduct month-end review and analysis of results, including completion of KPI’s
  • Using best practise methodologies, assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and reports for all levels of management
  • Assist in the monitoring of the financial performance targets by assisting with the annual budget preparation process, revised forecasts and performance meetings
  • Provide professional, business-focussed business partner services to designated groups including assisting the Manager Finance Business Partnering
  • Assist in the reconciliation and revenue recognition for Activity Based Funding (ABF) and provide clinical leaders reports on their team’s performance
  • Main liaison for private patient revenue billing to Private Health Insurance companies for Medicare ineligible patients.
  • Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes.

 


About You:

 Proven experience in completion of month end close process, management reporting and budgeting

 Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related field

 Undergoing or completion of CA or CPA

 Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Excel & Word. Experience with Magiq and Oracle FMIS is highly regarded

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to deliver result under tight time frames

Prior experience working in Public Health or Public Sector highly desirable
