We are now seeking Expressions of Interest for a visionary Director of Transformation to join our Executive Leadership Team.
This pivotal role reports directly to the CEO and will lead organisation-wide transformation and service planning initiatives that shape PYMHWS into a contemporary, consumer-led and future-ready service. You will head our Transformation and Service Planning team, delivering high-impact strategic projects, driving innovation, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement and systems thinking across the organisation.

About Us:
Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) is Victoria’s newest public mental health service dedicated to the care of young people aged 12 to 25 experiencing complex mental health challenges.
PYMHWS is leading a bold and values-driven transformation in youth mental health care across Melbourne’s north and west. We exist to walk alongside young people, their families, carers, supporters and kin delivering care that is accessible, inclusive, developmentally appropriate, evidence-informed, and grounded in lived experience. The Director of Transformation is a key executive leadership position reporting directly to the CEO. This role exists to drive organisation-wide transformation, service planning, and innovation – ensuring Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) delivers on its bold vision as Victoria’s first youth-dedicated public mental health service.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of PYMHWS, leading strategic initiatives that improve access, equity and outcomes for young people aged 12–25. This is a rare opportunity to help build a new service from the ground up, embedding lived experience, co-design and systems thinking into everything we do.
What You’ll Do

Lead the design, delivery and continuous refinement of PYMHWS’s transformation and service plans.

Drive large-scale organisational change, service innovation and strategic projects that position PYMHWS as a future-ready service.

Build and strengthen strategic partnerships across government, health services, and community organisations.

Provide expert advice to the CEO and Executive on emerging trends, policy reforms and system opportunities.
About You:
You are a strategic, values-driven leader who thrives in complex environments and is motivated by creating better futures for young people. With a track record of driving transformation in healthcare, mental health or community services, you bring the skills and presence needed to lead change at scale.
You will also bring:

Proven experience leading organisational transformation, strategic planning, or large-scale change programs.

Strong systems thinking capability, with the ability to translate vision into action and measurable outcomes.

Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and build trusted partnerships across diverse groups.
