The Opportunity:
The Early Psychosis team provides early intervention to young people at ultra-high risk of developing a psychotic illness (PACE), or experiencing a first episode of psychosis (EPPIC), who may also present with a range of comorbid mental health issues.
The Clinical Stream Lead is a senior leadership role within PYMHWS, responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based Clinical Care to young people and their families/carers. The Stream Lead provides clinical leadership, mentoring, supervision, and training to a multidisciplinary team within the EPPIC stream.

About the Role:
The Clinical Stream Lead is responsible for developing, translating and operationalising assessment and interventions to contribute to service development, delivery of training and development of models of care at a local, national and international level is an integral component of this position.
You will have will have expert knowledge of diagnostic assessment and evidence-based interventions for the cohort of young people and their families accessing the Early Psychosis (EPPIC-PACE) stream.
What You'll Do:
- Provide strategic clinical leadership and direction in the planning, development and management of a comprehensive service delivery model for the Clinical Stream.
- Provide specialist clinical expertise and management to the assessment and consultation services of the stream via direct care/assessment provision, specialist consultation and mentoring alongside professional development and supervision of a multidisciplinary team.
- Develop and support the delivery of innovative, recovery-focused, evidence-based interventions within the clinical program
- Work with a passionate leadership team in an expanding organisation with a focus on excellence in youth mental health service provision
- Provide clinical leadership, management, training and supervision across a multidisciplinary team Promote evidence-based interventions through the development and delivery of targeted training and professional development.
About You:
✔️ Eligible disciplines: RPN Grade 6 / Occupational Therapist, Social Worker and Psychologist Grade 5
✔️ Minimum 10 years’ experience in accordance with EBA requirements for this senior clinical position in the application of clinical practice in the mental health field and specifically with young people experiencing mental health disorders.
✔️ Specialist knowledge and experience in delivering evidence based mental health care
✔️ Strong clinical leadership skills, staff supervision and capacity building
✔️ Motivated by youth-focused, inclusive, and recovery-oriented care
