Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) is Victoria’s newest public mental health service dedicated to the care of young people aged 12 to 25 experiencing complex mental health challenges.

About the Role:
This Clinical Specialist role offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced clinician to combine clinical expertise with service development. The role will enhance and build capacity of the Early Psychosis workforce and contribute to developments in evidence-based care.
What You'll Do:
- Deliver high-quality, client-focused care aligned with best practice and PYMHWS values.
- Deliver evidence-based care, both as an individual and building the capacity of a team
- Develop and support the delivery of innovative, recovery-focused, evidence-based
- interventions within the clinical program
- Work with a passionate leadership team in an expanding organisation with a focus on excellence in youth mental health service provision
- Provide clinical leadership, management, training and supervision across a multidisciplinary team
- Undertake relevant, time-limited project work that enables significant model and practice change
- Complete timely mental health assessments, treatment plans, crisis interventions, and clinical documentation in line with PYMHWS standards.
About You:
A passionate and skilled mental health professional with experience supporting young people with complex mental health issues. You bring a client-centred, evidence-based approach to care, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. You value inclusivity, cultural safety, and continuous learning, and you're committed to delivering responsive, high-quality mental health support. Your strong communication, clinical, and organisational skills enable you to build effective therapeutic relationships and navigate complex care systems with confidence and compassion.
✔️ Eligible disciplines: RPN Grade 5 / Occupational Therapist Grade 5 / Social Worker Grade 5 and Psychologist Grade 4
✔️ Relevant registration and qualifications (see position description for details)
✔️ Passion for a specific area of clinical service delivery such as family interventions, psychological interventions, youth addiction, physical health, neurodevelopmental or forensic issues
✔️ Significant experience in clinical assessment, risk management, and delivering specialist interventions for young people experiencing complex mental health disorders
