Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) is Victoria’s newest public mental health service dedicated to the care of young people aged 12 to 25 experiencing complex mental health challenges.

The Opportunity:
The Clinical Educator – Allied Health is part of a skilled Allied Health Workforce team that supports professional governance, workforce development, and evidence-based clinical practice across Allied Health disciplines and programs. Working under the guidance of the Director of Allied Health and in collaboration with the PYMHWS Clinical Training Team, the role contributes to professional supervision, student placements, and the Allied Health Graduate & Early Career Programs.
We are seeking an experienced Social Worker or Occupational Therapist with a passion for supporting the development of Early Career clinicians in mental health.
The role provides educational oversight and leadership for Social Work and Occupational Therapy, working closely with educators, workforce leaders, and clinical teams to develop, coordinate, and deliver discipline-specific and interprofessional learning opportunities. A key focus is supporting the Graduate and Early Career Occupational Therapy Program, ensuring appropriate scope of practice for clinicians in a mental health setting.
The Clinical Educator will identify and address workforce learning and development needs, support alignment with capability frameworks, contribute to the ongoing development of the Allied Health Graduate Program, and help embed learning and development frameworks for the early career Allied Health workforce.
This position joins a team of Allied Health Educators and will be largely geographically based at our Parkville site, with some travel across the PYMHWS Sunshine, Footscray and Wyndham sites expected.
What You'll Do:
- Develop, coordinate and deliver educational initiatives and training for early career clinicians
- Support best practice of Early Career Clinicians at PYMHWS, through development of a learning and development framework, aligned to capability frameworks and core competencies.
- Collaborate with educators and leaders across PYMHWS and external agencies to identify opportunities and support the ongoing development of the Social Work and Occupational Therapy profession in mental health
