Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) is Victoria’s newest public mental health service dedicated to the care of young people aged 12 to 25 experiencing complex mental health challenges.

The Opportunity:

The role of the Administrative Officer is to deliver a professional and caring customer focused service, often as the first point of contact and communication for patients, their families and visitors, involving face to face contact as well as telephone contact.  The role supports the functioning of the Continuing Care Teams.

Our service is made up of compassionate, curious, and committed people. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced administrator to liaise with clinical, medical and ancillary staff, hospital departments, patients and their significant others, and the general public.

About the Role:

The Administration Officer will provide general administration, reception, switchboard and medical records services at the Continuing Care Team campuses.

Support administrative clinical support to the continuing care teams. This includes key tasks such as database management, data entry, management of petty cash, fleet systems and procurement.

What You'll Do:

  • Communicate effectively with staff, patients and the public in the process of performing duties
  • Provide medical record support including compilation of files, scanning of files, updating of electronic records, in accordance with organisational guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to foster a culture of caring, teamwork, and continuous service improvement

About You:

An administration officer experienced in reception and health administration.

✔️ Familiarity with health systems including EPIC, IPM and CMI

✔️ Relevant experience and qualifications (see position description for details)

✔️ Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills

✔️ Motivated by youth-focused, inclusive, and recovery-oriented care
