Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) is a new, dedicated public youth mental health service and is the first of its kind in Australia. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team.

ONGOING PART-TIME | 0.7 EFT (53.2 HOURS) PER FORTNIGHT | PARKVILLE

The Administration Officer provides essential reception and administrative support to the Community Development Program and Continuing Care Teams (CCT) at PYMHWS. Acting as a key front-of-house contact, the role ensures smooth day-to-day operations and delivers professional, customer-focused support to young people, families, carers, staff, and external stakeholders.

The position supports service delivery through reception duties, administrative coordination, data management, project support, training administration, scheduling, reporting, onboarding, and general office operations.

Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) is Victoria’s newest public mental health service dedicated to the care of young people aged 12 to 25 experiencing complex mental health challenges.

This is a broad and varied administrative role ideal for someone with strong reception and administration experience who enjoys working in a busy, service-focused environment supporting youth mental health programs and multidisciplinary clinical teams. It offers opportunities to contribute to service improvement, project support, training coordination, and frontline customer service within a growing and innovative organisation.

About You:

We are seeking a highly organised, adaptable and customer-focused Administration Officer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about supporting young people and mental health services.

You will bring demonstrated experience in administration within a health, community or human services setting, along with excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills. You will be confident managing competing priorities, maintaining accurate records and data systems, and providing professional reception and administrative support to consumers, families, staff and external stakeholders.

The successful applicant will be a collaborative team member with strong attention to detail, a proactive approach to work, and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service. You will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, while remaining flexible and responsive in a changing service environment.

 

 

You will ideally have:

Demonstrated administration experience in a health, community or human services setting.
Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
The ability to effectively manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Experience maintaining accurate records, databases and administrative systems.
A strong commitment to providing professional, responsive and customer-focused service.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other administrative systems.
A collaborative, flexible and positive approach to teamwork.
A passion for supporting young people and contributing to positive mental health outcomes.
