Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) is Victoria’s newest public mental health service dedicated to the care of young people aged 12 to 25 experiencing complex mental health challenges.

The Opportunity:
The Medical Workforce Unit (MWU) Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for the operational management of medical workforce functions and the oversight of workforce compliance and credentialling across PYMHWS.

About the Role:
This role provides end-to-end leadership of the Medical Workforce Unit, ensuring the effective delivery of recruitment, onboarding, contracting, and workforce operations for medical staff. In addition, it holds a key service-wide governance function, leading workforce compliance and credentialling across medical, nursing, allied health, and psychology workforces.
You will play a pivotal role in strengthening workforce systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, and partnering with clinical and executive leaders to support a high-performing, sustainable workforce.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Medical Workforce Unit
- Oversee workforce compliance and credentialling across the service
- Partner with clinical leaders to support workforce planning and service needs
- Ensure workforce data integrity, reporting accuracy, and system effectiveness
- Drive continuous improvement across workforce processes and systems
- Provide expert advice on workforce risk, compliance, and governance
About You:
You are a confident and collaborative professional with strong operational capability and a deep understanding of workforce compliance in a complex environment.
- Technical Skills – Strong knowledge of medical workforce systems, credentialling, and compliance frameworks
- Relevant Experience – Experience leading workforce operations within a complex or regulated health environment
- Analytical Capability – Ability to interpret workforce data to inform planning and decision-making
- Stakeholder Engagement – Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and partner with senior leaders
- Continuous Improvement – Proven ability to improve systems, processes, and service delivery outcomes
- Values Alignment – Commitment to safe, equitable, and high-quality care for young people
