Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS)

 

Join the Youth MOOD Clinic in an exciting Grade 4 OT, SW, Psychology or Grade 5 RPN role

  • 0.6 EFT Part-Time, Contract until August 2025
  • Based in Parkville with Satellite Services at Glenroy and Craigeburn
  • Opportunities to participate in research, clinical training and service development

Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) is Victoria’s newest public mental health service dedicated to the care of young people aged 12 to 25 experiencing complex mental health challenges.  

PYMHWS is leading a bold and values-driven transformation in youth mental health care across Melbourne’s north and west. About the role:

The Youth MOOD Clinic provides specialist early interventions to young people and their families/carers experiencing severe mood disorders. 

This position offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced clinician to combine clinical expertise with service development. As a Clinical Specialist, you will:

  • Deliver evidence-based care, both as an individual and building the capacity of a team
  • Develop and support the delivery of innovative, recovery-focused, evidence-based interventions within the clinical program
  • Work with a passionate leadership team in an expanding organisation with a focus on excellence in youth mental health service provision
  • Provide clinical leadership, management, training and supervision across a multidisciplinary team
  • Undertake relevant, time-limited project work that enables significant model and practice change

 

You will have:

  • Passion for a specific area of clinical service delivery such as family interventions, psychological interventions, youth addiction, physical health, neurodevelopmental or forensic issues
  • Significant experience in clinical practice within the mental health field, preferably with young people experiencing complex mental health disorders
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, consumers and families
  • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills and the capacity to adapt to the changing needs of an evolving service
