Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) is Victoria’s newest public mental health service dedicated to the care of young people aged 12 to 25 experiencing complex mental health challenges.

About the Role:
The Accountant operates within the Finance Team and is structured as a dual-function position, encompassing both financial accounting and reporting, and finance business partnering, supporting all aspects of PYMHWS’s financial reporting, compliance, and operational finance activities.
This position requires specialist knowledge in the area of accounting and finance and is expected to operate proactively with a continuous improvement focus within the role and be part of the wider Finance Team. It requires a sound working knowledge and understanding of accounting principles. A high level of professional discretion is necessary at all times.
What You'll Do:
- Transactional Accounting and Administration
- Month End and General Ledger Management
- Financial Reporting
- Compliance, Risk Management and Regulatory
- Stakeholder Support and Communication
About You:
✔️ Proven experience in completion of month end close process and compliance reporting
✔️ Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related field
✔️ Undergoing or completion of CA or CPA
✔️ Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Excel & Word. Experience with Magiq and Oracle FMIS is highly regarded
✔️ Excellent organisational and time management skills, with accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to deliver result under tight time frames
✔️ Prior experience working in Public Health or Public Sector highly desirable
